Is it really right to ban gay marriage in Australia?

How can it be right to ban marriage bewteen two lovers?

how is being gay any different to being straight? Is it really right to ban gay marriage in Australia?
I think it's because most people (the government) in australia are christians. You know, christians (no pun intended but it's true) are always discriminating people who're different than themselves. And, they claim to respect people but in fact they always do things as if they're the rightest. %26lt;--- this applies to fanatic christian freaks!!

I'm an australian, but i don't like the government. You know, they even discriminate people who have different religions! The australian policies are biased.

The one who gave me a thumb-down seems to deny the fact. Yeah, i can accept that. But, again a fact is still a fact, no matter how hard one tries to deny it.Is it really right to ban gay marriage in Australia?
People would rather be ignorant than even try a little bit to be more understanding and see the situation as the other person does.

They don't have to agree with it, just have respect for the sacrifices and choices people make for what they believe in.

But unfortunately, they just choose to be bigots.
Do a search on line for same sex partners receiving government benefits. While Mr Rudd is happy to not let gays marry, he expects we should declare if one partner is on benefits, say for example on a pension.

In my eyes he is wanting it both ways.
No. But we're not even close to remove the restrictions in place so that same sex couples may marry. Both Liberal and Labor are opposed to same-sex marriages. At least Howard's gone.
It's no right to ban it! If two people love each other ebough that they want to get married what business is it to any one else!!
